Job
Summary
The Chemical Trader & Sales position is responsible for
driving international chemical and plastic resin trading activities, including
market development, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and end-to-end
import/export logistics. This role oversees risk management, compliance, and
supply chain coordination while collaborating closely with U.S and Korea-based
teams to support sustainable business growth.
Key
Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Coordinate
and manage customer accounts and sales activities.
- Participate
in new business development initiatives and strategic sales planning.
- Identify
and pursue growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Directly
communicate with purchasing and sourcing teams of large corporations
nationwide.
2. Account Management & Customer Support
- Support
customer needs and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Assist
the Sales Manager with sales-related tasks, reports, and documentation.
- Maintain
detailed client records and account information.
3. Project Management
- Manage
project details including project flow, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor
project progress and ensure timely execution of customer requirements.
4. Market Intelligence & Industry Analysis
- Develop
and maintain a thorough understanding of customers’ businesses,
competitors, and industry trends.
- Monitor
market developments and provide relevant updates to internal stakeholders.
5. Additional Duties
- Perform
other assignments, projects, and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
1.
Education & Work Authorization
·
Authorization to work in the United States
without sponsorship.
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a
related field preferred (or equivalent college experience).

Communication & Interpersonal Skills
·
Strong verbal and written communication skills
in both English and Korean
·
Ability to operate effectively in bilingual
business environments
·
Ability to work collaboratively in a
multicultural corporate environment with U.S and Korean teams.
3.
Technical & Analytical Skills
·
Proficiency in Microsoft Office application
(Word, Excel, Outlook)
·
Strong analytical, mathematical, and
organizational skills
·
Ability to quickly learn, comprehend, and apply
new concepts
4.
Professional Experience
·
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with
both internal and external customers
·
Experience in the steel industry preferred
·
Experience in sales, sales planning, and
strategic planning preferred
