apparel industry - Production Coordinator A globally recognized and respected affordable luxury brand is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Coordinator. Location: Northridge, CA
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year
Key Responsibilities: - Facilitate the product creation process from development to production, ensuring a seamless transition.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, including Design, Technical Design, Development, and Receiving, to guarantee timely delivery as per the established calendar.
- Actively partner with Product Development and Design teams to identify and resolve production issues, supporting these issues until they are fully resolved.
- Assist the development team in managing the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure prompt delivery of samples for fittings and essential seasonal meetings.
- Regularly update Work In Progress (WIP) and Time & Action (T&A) plans according to the production schedule.
- Conduct quality control checks to maintain the brand's high standards.
- Maintain daily communication with factories and follow up with vendors throughout production stages to adhere to deadlines.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely product arrival.
- Oversee the entire production process, from the initial sample to the final delivery.
Qualifications: - A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the apparel industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in apparel/garment costing and vendor negotiations.
- Solid understanding and experience with Sourcing, Logistics, and Production terminology.
- Exceptional leadership skills and a strong team player ethos.
- Proficiency in both English and Korean languages.
- A positive, can-do attitude with flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills are essential.
